I thought I would squirt a few pictures to you guys so you can kinda picture what we're doing. That's Jose cleaning the old San Gabriel house while holding Maxine. You see Raquel playing in her playground at the new house. Maxine is wearing a vintage scarf, so is Raquel for that matter. I thought I had lost these scarves but during unpacking I found them. They're from my Grandma Emma. There is also a picture of the side of our house where I have planted a lot of succulents and geraniums from the old house. We have shade on our property most of the day due to the surrounding Oak trees which are protected by the City of Pasadena, meaning, you can't touch them let alone trim them. It causes a lot of dampness on the ground and spots where grass doesn't grow because there isn't enough sun.
That's all for now!

Nice pictures! Love that playground for Raquel and soon for Maxine too. That bare area where you are planting succulents, is perfect for that and tons of plants!!!! How exciting to plant new plants in a new place. How are you guys eating? Eating out? Or cooking?
Heh, I have prepared a few small meals for Raquel and I but we have also gotten food from local mom n pop places. Most of my kitchen stuff is still waiting for me in boxes that need 2 big strong men to carry them into the house. Jose knows I want my kitchen put together first so tomorrow on his day off he's gonna get that stuff in the house for me.
I was asking because I remember moving to our house and eating out almost every day until the kitchen was ready. We had tile installed when we moved in, so it was a few days before we could start using the stove.
How are yous doing this week?
Well, my kitchen isn't all together yet but it has so much storage that I'm taking my time putting things in the best places, ya know, really thinking it through. The girls' room is together, beds built, clothes put away. It's nice to have that done. We are still unpacking lots of stuff, moving a lot of things down to the basement for storage. But we're happy and settling in.
Pretty freakin cool. When Iris and I moved out of the condo I felt a surprising sadness at leaving our first "home." Did you feel the same ping?
My ping felt more like a BANG. Like a door slamming. I do get sentimental about places and things.
