In this bento, there is a tuna sandwich on whole wheat, some pickle slices, cheddar cheese slices, homemade swirl cookies you saw in yesterday's post, a hardboiled egg with salt and pepper, and some green "spinach flavour" noodles stirfried with asparagus and teriyaki sauce. I think he's really going to like this. I was just thinking about how much it costed to make this meal. I'm guessing less than a dollar. Wow!

Today's "Daddy Bento"

MMm that Bento box looks so good. I want to do these for Eddie, if time or his school every permits. :) People at work do this for their lunch, and they are Chinese.
As for the Feng Shui, have you looked up how to counter the bad sha? Or spoken to anyone who would know? If I remember on Tuesday, I will ask some of my co-workers, who strongly believe in it.
When G and I first moved into our home, we kept getting sick. My Chinese co workers told me we had bad sha in our house and told me what to do to make it better. I did it, and it worked. May be a bunch of nonsense, but I sorta believe it it. Not to the point where I avoid buying a house because of it, but to the point where if it doesn't hurt to try, why not try it.
Iris, when I first heard of bento boxes a few years ago I couldnt' WAIT for Raquel to be of age to need a lunch box! I made a few of them for her back then even though she was home with me (not in school) because it was new and fun. I learn more about it all the time now.
And about feng shui, I have not consulted with anyone about it. I have suggested (many times) that Jose try to empathize with feng shui believers in order to sell the house. He's having a hard time doing that. I have made little suggestions, like, putting a little fish bowl with a pretty fish in the house (when he's there to open house it), since fish are good luck. More drastically I have suggested putting up a picket fence in the front yard to maybe help slow down the rushing "chi" flowing from the street that is perpendicular to the front door of the house (and causing people to frown upon the feng shui). I completely agree with you about "if it doesn't hurt to try, why not try it". Good thinking :)
You charge less than $1 for that!? Ok, I need to place an order to go!
@CP, I just know how to shop for cheap supplies (food). :-)
Wow that looks so good. Jose is lucky. What an awesome inexpensive lunch. Your cookies look so cute.
